Okay so about how I'm like 2 weeks late. Well I have an excuse. It's correge apps. And I have a violin concert tonight that I'm sort of half screwed for but I don't really feel like practicing. I always seem to be procrastinating something when I get on here...and this is in 3 parts, because I have a ridiculous number of videos.
This is more of a video-and-commentary log than an actual fan account, just due to the fact that I find flail-y fan accounts embarrassing to read and even more embarrassing to write. Anything remotely overly fangirl-y is just. 8|. Like that one girl (she was white, jsyk) shikonsapphire
and I saw in front of Madison Square Garden a few hours before it started screaming into a camera about how much she loves Key and showing off her hoodie emblazoned on the back with a really sketchy looking key. At the moment, I walked away and hid from embarrassment.
I will have it known though, that I am fangirling really really hard on the inside. And I wish I could be as cool as that girl. (Even though my jacket would turn out better. /shifty eyes)
Woot! Sold out!
Walking around Manhattan that day, there were so many asians just milling around...and fangirls with SHINee and TVXQ and SJ shirts and SM Town tote bags (I really wanted one but they were like $25 and I didn't actually think to bring that much cash). After lunch in Chinatown Tian and I went to Koreatown and looked for kpop albums, and we found them, but they were ridiculously overpriced. Maybe $20-$25 per album. We wanted to stop by Kyochon Chicken, you know the place Onew (and SHINee of course, but just Onew comes to mind...) did his chicken cf for, but we were too full of dimsum. Maybe another time. Maybe if I go to college in NYC. >__>
Somewhere in Koreatown we saw a flashmob. I don't remember what song it was, so it must have been a newer one, or maybe a newer group that I don't follow. Or maybe I'm just ridiculously behind on fandom due to correges, idk. Of course I just sort of ran off as I usually do, but now that I think about it, I should have taken pictures.
so many asians ◕ o◕v
When we arrived at the venue an hour before the concert, we tried to get in some merchandise lines...lines in a general term, they were more like mobs. Took maybe 30-45 minutes being squished in a giant clump of asians to come away with a $8 Kyuhyun fan for Tian and a $15 mug for me. The people behind the counter kept shouting at us to stop pushing the counters back, and if we kept doing it they would stop selling, and I overheard another lady behind the counter saying that in her 17 years of working for MSG (lol msg, so appropriate), she'd never seen anything like this. I attribute the below to underestimating the power of asian fangirls. Below the cut, that is.( Follow the fangirly roadCollapse )
